Despite being in sensational form for Barcelona B this season, Ferran Jutgla is on his way out of the club. He has announced his departure officially on Instagram through a story, explaining his decision.
He says that he had a few proposals on the table, including continuing with Barcelona for at least another season. However, since his place in the senior team was not guaranteed, Jutgla has decided to leave the club in an attempt to consolidate his professional career.
“Football goes round and round, and of course, I leave the door open to return in the future and wear a jersey as important as Barcelona’s, in two or three seasons,” he also said.
Jutgla has been linked with a move to Club Brugge, who will be participating in the Champions League next season. The fee is quoted to be around €5-7 million, but any other details of the transfer are not known.
The Spaniard also participated with the senior team this season in the first half, scoring two goals in nine appearances. His form with the B team, though, was another level, as he accumulated 19 goals.
Fans will be hoping that his move includes a buy-back clause, because Jutgla has the potential to become a very talented goalscorer.
